Tsotne joined BTU’s academic staff in 2020 and is teaching Digital and Sustainable Economy. He is also one of the researchers at BTU and leads the “Digital Ecosystem Digest” initiative. He has 10+ years of experience in conducting both economic and statistical studies (including ADB and ILO projects) on the local market. He has also prepared market research for international private clients.
Vakhtang Chkareuli

Vakhtang Chkareuli has 10+ years of professional experience in financial management and analytics. Currently, he holds the position of financial director at the company “Citadel”, which is the market leader in the trade of construction materials. His responsibilities include proper functioning of the company’s financial management system, budgeting and financial analysis, as well as development and implementation of optimization strategies. In 2020-2022, he held the position of head of finance and analytics in the Hualing Free Industrial Zone.
He also has experience working at Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) – in the grant projects analytics team; Teliani Veli – financial economist; Ministry of Finance and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. He is an invited expert of many projects in terms of strategic and financial planning. Vakho regularly conducts training in the field of finance, and was also involved in a number of pre-acceleration programs for startups as an invited trainer.
In 2020, he joined the BTU team as a visiting lecturer, after which he became an affiliated associate professor and head of the Undergraduate Business Administration (Finance) Program.
Erekle Zarandia

PhD candidate in Economics at TSU
Erekle holds a position of a Manager of Research Center at Business and Technology University. At the same time, he is a financial officer at TSU and a lecturer in finance and economics. Erekle has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Computer Science and Economics respectively from Tbilisi State University (TSU). In Addition, he has a Master’s degree in e-governance, technologies and services from Tallinn University of Technology. In 2017, he was awarded a doctoral grant from Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and currently he is a PhD candidate in Economics at TSU.
As a researcher, he has conducted several studies in the field of economics and sustainable development. Erekle is a published author on the Scopus database. His study – Expansion of Capacity Development of Local Self-Government in Georgia, was published in 2021.
