The University of Business and Technology has introduced a large-scale, high-tech platform “Knowledge Bank” – “This is a unique platform offered by BTU to the students and alumni”. Digital space is the technological memory of the student and combines literature, textbooks, articles, videos and other materials created by the best authors around various advanced industries. The platform enables the student to create a personal work environment, make notes and enrich the necessary information throughout his/her life.
“Knowledge Bank” was created on the base of the “Notion” platform, a working application created in the US “Silicon Valley”. The cost of the application is estimated at USD 2 billion and is referred to as a new unicorn technology. A group of investors from such companies as Google, Pinterest, Twitter, Uber, LinkedIn, Airbnb and others invested in its development. The app has more than 4 million users. More than 4000 students of BTU will have access to the educational package, which can be used with any device, mobile phone, tablet, personal computer.
“Knowledge Bank” is a kind of digital memory of the student. According to studies, after 5 years, a person remembers only 3% of information received from various sources.
“Revolutionary high-tech platform organizes thousands of recordings made by a student, so-called” notes “, as well as everything he/she reads, watches, listens, thinks, in terms of content, thematically and into one work environment. The generated information enables the student to remember all the details he/she needs to do the job, start his/her own business, solve any task”. Mega-data processing is done in Georgian and this is the first digital analytical work environment, which will serve as a digital assistant and technological memory for the student and/or graduate for a lifetime. According to international experts, this is one of the best digital tools to increase productivity. „Knowledge Bank“ also enables its customers to monitor the development of ideas and manage large-scale projects from a single environment. From the new academic year, all BTU students will have access to the application required to use the „Knowledge Bank“.
