Davit Aptsiauri is Professor at Business and Technology University. He has many years of experience in diplomatic, public, and academic fields.

At different times, Davit Aptsiauri served as First Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. In 2000, he was granted the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary by decree of the President of Georgia.

He was a member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions from the Eastern European Group, National Coordinator for issues related to Georgia’s membership in the United Nations Economic and Social Council, and Special Representative of the President of Georgia for the organization of the Special Session on Children of the United Nations General Assembly. He also served as Deputy Secretary General of the European Energy Charter Secretariat and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank on behalf of the Government of Georgia.

Davit Aptsiauri is General Director of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a high-level expert of the international G-Global project.

He is the author of more than 20 scientific and analytical publications. He has participated in an international scientific conference and completed professional development programmes in international relations, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
