Starting in 2026, BTU established the Student Scholarship Fund, aimed at supporting talented and high-achieving students through partial or full tuition funding for undergraduate and graduate programs.
Since its founding, the number of scholarship students at BTU has consistently increased. In total, the tuition fees of up to 3,500 students have been covered through the university’s scholarship program.
Funding Scheme
Students enrolled from the 2026–2027 academic year onward are eligible to receive full or partial tuition funding from the Student Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship is awarded every semester according to the following principle:
In the first semester, undergraduate students receive the scholarship based on their results in the Unified National Examinations. Graduate students, in turn, are awarded the scholarship based on their ranking scores in the Common Master’s Examinations.
From the second semester onward, retaining or receiving the scholarship depends on the student’s ranking score.
Components of the Ranking Score
The primary component is academic performance, based on the student’s results from the previous semester.
Additional components include various activities relevant to or intended for students of the respective program, such as participation in activities organized by the Development and International Relations Office, the Entrepreneurship Center, the Career Development Center, and the Research Center.
Categories and Scores for University Activities
Winning at least one university competition, project, or program is awarded 3 points.
Participation in university activities — including meetings, training sessions, public lectures, hackathons, ideathons, certification programs, masterclasses, webinars, panel discussions, pre-acceleration programs, and/or other activities — is scored as follows:
More than 50% of the total activities participated in = 2 points
Less than 50% of the total activities participated in = 1 point
Calculation of the Final Ranking Score (Σ)
Σ (Ranking Score) = A (Average Academic Performance Score) + B (University Activity Results: 3 / 2 / 1 points).
