Maia Kheladze
Maia Kheladze was awarded the qualification of mathematician in 1994, and in 2014 the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). At the current stage, Maia Kheladze is a doctoral student at the University of Business and Technology, and her dissertation topic is about digital payments and determining their impact on the economy. Maia Kheladze has published scientific articles in local and international journals.
Maia Kheladze holds the position of Director of Payment Systems and Operations Management of JSC Hash Bank of Digital Bank, at the same time, she is a member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Eurocredit, a microfinance organization, the co-founder and chairman of the board of the “Georgian Electronic Commerce Association”, the co-founder of the “Electronic Payments Development Club in Georgia”, an affiliated assistant professor at the University of Business and Technology and an invited lecturer at Ilia State University since 2012.
Maia Kheladze led and still manages important directions in commercial banks. Her areas of competence are: banking services and products, payments business, e-commerce, marketing and public relations, financial technologies, messaging systems, personnel management, operations and other areas, where he has accumulated more than 30 years of work experience and expertise in business process management.
Maia Kheladze played an important role in the introduction of revolutionary contactless technologies for the payment industry, and in 2009 she issued the first contactless card in Georgia for the first time in the CEMEA region (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Since 2012, Maia Kheladze has been sharing her rich banking experience with young people by teaching courses in “Banking” and “E-Commerce Administration” at two universities: Business and Technology and Ilia State University. In April 2024, within the framework of the “Erasmus” program, Maia Kheladze also held lectures at the University of Technology in Rzeszów, Poland.
Maia Kheladze has participated in a number of international conferences on the issues of payments and digital services development.
