Being the rector of the most innovative and rapidly growing university of Georgia is utmost responsibility for me.
The goal of establishing BTU was to create unique educational experience through the exchange of scientific work, innovative ideas and technologies; demonstrate the potential of Georgia and position it at global markets; support the country’s social-economic advancement by preparing qualified individuals.
In response to this goal, unprecedented programs for Georgia have been carried out at the Business and Technologies University since 2016. Our vision is interesting for the world’s leading organizations the partnership with which has brought the university trust and high level of reputation in the international community in the short period of time.
These days, in the technology age, the responsibility of the Business and Technology University is to be at the forefront of introducing innovations, ensure high quality teaching and research around various issues, including, artificial intelligence and sustainability. We are working for gender equality in the technology field and ensuring inclusive access to innovations for vulnerable groups.
Since the first days of establishment of BTU I have been the member of the team which aimed to create the educational space commensurate with western standards. Politics of our university is directed towards integrating into the European space and based on Council of Europe recommendations regarding those key aspects which serve as the educational quality criteria.
Each student as well as the whole community are the consumers of the university educational product, which in respect with educational quality imposes special responsibility over the university: integrating into the European educational space, creating demanding programs at the labor and educational market and harmonizing with the programs of foreign partners of the university, ongoing teaching quality enhancement, providing modern infrastructure, creating technical equipment and updated learning materials, maximum involvement of academic personnel as much as possible into scientific processes and ongoing implementation of international programs directed towards raising personnel qualification at the university, enhancing cooperation with scientists and research institutes, initiating and carrying out problem-oriented interdisciplinary research.
Interest of students is and will be the axis of all processes taking place at the Business and Technology Institute.
