NATIONAL CENTER FOR EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ENHANCEMENT – key achievements and trends in Georgia’s Higher Education system

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement is a legal entity operating under the Ministry of Education and science of Georgia.  The Center, for the purpose of external quality assurance, carries out authorization of educational institutions and accreditation of educational programs, as well as monitors implementation of authorization and accreditation standards. The Center works on improving the external as well as the internal quality assurance mechanisms, its implementation and creation of relevant recommendations.

The center developed a  report, which  was carried out within the strategic cycle of the Center for 2021-2025 and includes the activities implemented to ensure the quality of early and preschool, general, vocational, higher education, the development of national qualifications, the provision of educational services, the measures implemented for internationalization and institutional development of the Center. The report provides information on Georgia’s Reform of the General Education Quality Assurance System, Development of Educational Services in the country, Internationalization, international projects in the field of higher education etc.
