Cyber Security Policy, Management Strategy and Design – Book Presentation at BTU
Cybersecurity policy, management strategy, and recommendations are the main topics of the monograph presented by Vladimer Svanadze, affiliated professor at BTU and Doctor of Public Administration at the Business and Technology University.
The monograph describes the cybersecurity experiences of different countries and the roles of state and private structures in this field’s development.
According to the author, there is a shortage of Georgian-language publications on cybersecurity, making this work an important resource for novice researchers and cybersecurity experts.
He emphasizes the importance of academia prioritizing cybersecurity issues and highlights the significant role of Business and Technology University in researching and training future generations.
“The monograph covers best practices worldwide, including cybersecurity policies of the USA, Great Britain, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Estonia, and South Korea. It also discusses the European Union’s security policy and strategy, as well as NATO’s overarching cybersecurity strategy. Finally, recommendations are provided for Georgian state structures responsible for cybersecurity,” explained Vladimer Svanadze.
Recent years have seen significant legislative and executive developments in cybersecurity, which have contributed to the field’s growth.
There is a growing interest among young people in cybersecurity, supported by legislative changes and increased academic activity.
To further enhance student interest and deepen study opportunities in cybersecurity, Business and Technology University has planned numerous activities for the future.
