Otar Antia
Otar Antia holds a Master of Business Administration (concentration in Energy Management) and a Master of Carbon Finance. At the same time, he is an associate professor of the University of Business and Technology and a doctoral student of the doctoral program of business administration of the same university.
Otar Antia has many years of practical work experience. At different times, he worked in leading positions in the private and public sectors. He actively worked in the direction of promoting small and medium-sized entrepreneurship in the country and was directly involved in the implementation of such large-scale projects as “Invest in Georgia”, the “Covid-19 Vaccine Support Project” (ADB) and the “Social Security in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic – Project” (KfW). Otar Antia is a micro, small and medium-sized business development consultant at the German foundation Sparkassenstiftung Georgia, and he is also an expert on green finance at the Swedish Environmental Institute. He was also a green growth consultant of the USAID Economic Security Program, and with his direct involvement, the first video lecture course “Business and Sustainable Development” was developed in Georgia. In addition, he was actively involved in USAID, UNDP, UNIDO, World Bank, Asian Development Bank and KfW projects.
Currently, Otar Antia is a green economy expert of the Investors Council Secretariat and is actively involved in the implementation of measures to promote the country’s green transformation process. He is also the co-founder of the Association of Young Energy Engineers of Georgia. Otar Antia has been engaged in teaching activities in various higher education institutions for many years in the direction of leadership, organizational behavior, management and sustainable finance. He has actively participated in the work of various scientific and field conferences in Georgia, Norway, Great Britain, Singapore, Japan and the USA.
Otar Antia was a scholarship holder of the Erasmus Mundus academic exchange program, the “Freedom Support Act” of the US State Department and Chevening academic exchange programs, and has received international professional certificates.
