Microsoft Lab

A Microsoft high-tech lab was opened at Business and Technology University, the main goal of which is to support Georgian students and professors in acquiring modern digital skills and knowledge.

The newly created high-tech laboratory will accelerate the transformation of the learning process, as it will offer students versatile resources and experiences. Students, alumni, professors and members of the public interested in technology will have access to many exciting opportunities. These are: project and research support, seminars and trainings, innovation and entrepreneurship support, hackathons, competitions and events, career support, development of training programs, digital transformation strategies.

As the rector of Business and Technology University, Nino Enukidze explains, opening the lab is very important not only for students, but for anyone interested in technology.

“The Microsoft lab was officially established in BTU. This is very important news for our students, professors, alumni and all the partners with whom we implement hundreds of projects. The goal of the lab will be to participate in the development of the BTU AI platform, create various solutions using artificial intelligence and offer them to the public. The lab will be involved in all the projects that are going on in the direction of blockchain and other innovations in cyber security. This is an important day, because Microsoft representatives themselves visited the university and expressed their willingness and interest in cooperation with us”, said Nino Enukidze.

Business and Technology University is a member of Microsoft Learn for Educators. It’s an educational program that gives schools, universities, colleges and high schools access to official Microsoft content to incorporate into their curriculum.

“We are happy to cooperate with Business and Technology University in the framework of this important initiative. It is critical that students in Georgia have access to the latest solutions and resources. This will help them to increase their knowledge and competence, to be ready for successful future employment,” said Sergey Leshenko, Microsoft’s regional manager in the CIS countries.

Within the framework of the lab, the members of the delegation held the first workshop on the topic “Skills and employment in the era of AI” for the companies of the technological industry in Georgia.
