“500 Women in Tech” was named the winning project at the summit held in the European Parliament
The project of Business and Technology University “500 Women in Tech” was named the winning program in the Future-proof Education category at the Summit organized by Emerging Europe in the European Parliament in Brussels!
On November 8, 2023 in Brussels, the work of more than 60 non-governmental organizations, business sectors and individuals from Central and Eastern Europe did not go unnoticed. As a result, the “500 Women in Tech” program won in the Future-proof Education category with outstanding, best practices and innovation within the region.
The winners were named in the direction of the 5 European sustainability goals.
Nino Enukidze, rector of Business and Technology University, was named the winner from Georgia in the Architect of Tomorrow category at the summit.
The institutions nominated in the mentioned category were evaluated for the quality of the projects and initiatives that offer the beneficiaries the best solutions for continuous education and training in the digital age.
The project “500 Women in Tech” was implemented by Business and Technology University with the financial support of the Norwegian government and the initiative of the United Nations Women’s Organization, with the involvement of the private sector.

The project was supposed to train 500 women in different directions, however, due to the unprecedented interest, a total of 1000 participants were trained. The goal of the project is to train women in the field of technology, promote their employment, and ultimately eliminate the gender imbalance in the field of technology. It should be noted that during the project, war broke out in Ukraine and Ukrainians had to come to Georgia. That is why, on the initiative of the United Nations, during the course of the project, groups for digital marketing and digital product testing were added to the process for 58 Ukrainian beneficiaries.
It is important that in 2021, the BTU project Coding School for Women won with the majority of votes.
The competition at the Summit held by Emerging Europe has been held since 2018 and names the winners among Europe’s leading institutions in various categories.
