The International Olympiad in Informatics is one of the most prestigious annual scientific competitions in the world for school students. The Olympiad is intended for exceptionally talented young people and gives them the opportunity to develop and refine their skills in algorithm design, data structures, problem analysis, and programming.
The main goal of the International Olympiad in Informatics is to identify, encourage, and recognize young people with exceptional talent in the field of informatics, as well as to popularize informatics as a discipline among young people. The Olympiad plays an important role in developing participants’ academic and practical skills and represents one of the most important platforms for gaining international experience.

Where will the respective Olympiad be held?
The selection Olympiad is organized by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, together with the team leaders. The Tech Olympiads Hub provides winter and summer camps for participants of the previous Olympiad and for the next selected participants.
Where and when will the international Olympiad be held?
The international Olympiad will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on August 9–16.
How many stages does the Olympiad have?
The selection stage consists of two rounds. In each round, students are given 3 problems to solve and 5 hours of working time. The same format also applies to the international Olympiad.
How can I participate?
To participate, registration is required. The registration form will be published on BTU’s website and social media channels.
Registration period: March 1–15
What types of tests are included in the Olympiad?
At the Olympiad, participants are given complex algorithmic problems designed for large amounts of data and requiring the identification of an optimal solution.
The participant must: devise an appropriate optimal algorithm for solving the problem and implement it programmatically.
What criteria are used to select the national team?
The national team is formed based on the results shown in the selection rounds.
How many members does the team consist of?
Two selection rounds will be held, based on the results of which the national team will be formed: 4 main members and 4 reserve members.
How is the team trained?
The training of national team members is conducted before each Olympiad through a specially organized 20-day preparatory camp. Training sessions are held with both the main members of the national team and the reserve members, and are aligned with the standards of international Olympiads.
