OLYINFO is a nationwide informatics olympiad aimed at developing students’ logical and algorithmic thinking, increasing their interest in technology, and promoting computer science across the country.
Launched in 2017, OLYINFO is the first Georgian national-level olympiad in informatics. Its main objective is to improve the quality of computer science education, identify talented students, and prepare them for participation in future international olympiads.
More than 3,000 participants and 340 finalists – OLYINFO Olympiad identified over 40 winners on March 8, 2026
Within the framework of the Georgian Tech Olympiads Hub, the first-ever All-Georgian Student Olympiad in Informatics, OLYINFO, was held this year. The competition attracted significant interest nationwide and brought together thousands of students from different regions of Georgia in a unified digital environment.
The final round of the All-Georgian Student Olympiad in Informatics OLYINFO took place on March 8 at the Business and Technology University (BTU). Out of nearly 3,000 registered participants, 340 students advanced to the final stage and competed for prize-winning positions.
The finalists were divided into four age categories:
- Grades 3-4 – 80 participants
- Grades 5-6 – 80 participants
- Grades 7-8 – 87 participants
- Grades 9-12 – 93 participants
As a result of the final round, more than 40 winners were selected from among the 340 finalists. First-, second-, and third-place winners in each age category received diplomas, special prizes, and awards established specifically for OLYINFO by the partner companies supporting the Tech Olympiads Hub.

Thanks to the Hub’s General Supporter, TBC Bank, every finalist received special gifts in recognition of advancing to the final round. In addition, OLYINFO winners were awarded special prizes by the Hub’s partner companies, including PC Shop, Biblusi, Tene, EPAM, and GAIA. These prizes included innovative technology gifts, opportunities to participate in educational courses, access to licensed AI software, and other valuable rewards.

What is OLYINFO?

Students from grades 3–12 of schools in Georgia are eligible to participate.

How many stages does the Olympiad have?
The Olympiad consists of two stages: the first stage is an online round, while the second stage is an in-person final round.
What types of tests are included in the Olympiad?
The Olympiad includes logical and algorithmic problems that are designed according to different age categories.
How can I participate?
To participate, registration is required. The registration form will be published on the BTU website and on social media.
Registration for the 2026 Olympiad closed on January 29.
How many students are awarded in the Olympiad?
In the final round, 40 winners will be selected.
From each of the four age groups, 10 students will be chosen.
