IOAI is an international olympiad focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The Olympiad brings together science, programming, and creative thinking in one of the fastest-growing fields of technology. Its goal is to spark young people’s interest in artificial intelligence, prepare them for the professions of the future, and support the development of both theoretical knowledge and practical AI skills.
About the Olympiad
Who is the Olympiad for?
The Olympiad is intended for students in grades 9–12 who are interested in AI tools, programming, mathematics, data analysis, and the fundamentals of machine learning.
Where will the international Olympiad take place?
The international Olympiad will be held in Abu Dhabi
How many stages does the Olympiad have?
The Olympiad consists of two rounds, after which the national team is formed and participants undergo intensive training for the international Olympiad.
In what format will the qualifying Olympiad be held?
The qualifying round will be held at the BTU campus.
What types of tests are included in the Olympiad?
The problems are designed around Python programming, mathematics (algebra, probability, statistics), data analysis, basic principles of machine learning, as well as logical and critical thinking and teamwork skills.
How can I participate?
To participate, registration is required. The registration form will be published in September, once registration for the national olympiads begins, on the BTU website and social media channels.
How is the national team selected?
The national team is formed based on the results achieved in the selection rounds.
How many members are there in the team?
A maximum of two teams are formed, each consisting of four participants.
How is the team trained?
Team members are trained before each Olympiad through a specially organized 20-day preparation camp. Training is conducted with both the main team members and the reserve members, and it follows the standards of international olympiads.
