Sopio Ugrekhelidze
Sopio Ugrekhelidze is a student of the doctoral program “Digital governance and artificial intelligence in the public sector” of the University of Business and Technology. He has obtained a master’s degree in law in Georgia, as well as in the University of Prague – Charles University in Prague.
Sopio Ugrekhelidze is the deputy head of the professional and higher education service of LEPL – education management information system, an expert on accreditation of higher education programs, as well as a certified mediator. She is engaged in pedagogical activities. Within the framework of the doctoral program, she conducts research on the implementation of digital governance and artificial intelligence in the higher education administration process. In addition, the important activities carried out by her for the purposes of the doctoral program are: Speaker and panel discussion speaker at the Internet Governance Forum of Georgia, speaker at the International Scientific Conference – Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, co-author of the study “Guiding Principles for the National Strategy of Artificial Intelligence of Georgia”.
Currently, on the basis of funding obtained within the framework of the USAID grant project “Strengthening Public Administration Programs”, Sopio Ugrekhelidze is an expert of the working group, which works on the process of developing and implementing educational components about digital governance and artificial intelligence in public administration bachelor’s and master’s programs of higher education.
