About Project:
Women in AI is part of the economic empowerment component of the UN Women’s project “Good Governance for Gender Equality in Georgia”, which is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) and coordinated by the University of Business and Technology. The project started in February 2024.
Within the framework of the initiative, it is planned to train 200 beneficiaries in two batches.
First batch: 100 beneficiaries (50 – web development, 50 – artificial intelligence(AI))
Second batch: 100 beneficiaries (50 – web development, 50 – artificial intelligence(AI))
The project entails providing beneficiaries with industry-specific knowledge and skills with an intensive 9-month training program fully funded by donors, and collaboration with interested public and private structures to increase employment opportunities in the rapidly growing technology sector and eliminate gender inequality.
As part of the project, additional career development activities are planned for the beneficiaries, along with sessions focused on improving entrepreneurship skills.

- Artificial intelligence
Important Dates:
Start of the first batch registration for beneficiaries: December 21, 2023
End of the registration: January 5, 2024
Start of the second batch registration for beneficiaries: November 14, 2024
End of the registration: December 23, 2024

Selection Process:
The project management team carries out and oversees the selection process of the beneficiaries.
To be admitted to the program, the student must:
- Fill in the registration form developed in advance by BTU;
- Pass the logical thinking and technical competence evaluation test organized by BTU, receive a positive evaluation and according to the rating list, its result is sufficient for the quota determined for specific technical areas;
- In order to meet the program’s prerequisites, pass an English language test organized by BTU. A candidate is excluded from the English language test if she provides a valid international certificate showing the required level of English language competence (IELTS, TOEFL, FCE) or a university diploma indicating that English is the language of instruction. The certificate must have been issued no more than three years ago.
Target Age Group:
Target audience of the project is women 16 years and above, from all regions with basic technological skills.
Study Process:
Lecture meetings: Twice a week (2 hour)
