Maia Melikidze
Maia Melikidze is a Doctor of Business Administration, affiliated associate professor of the University of Business and Technology, executive director of the Renewable Energy Development Association of Georgia, senior advisor to the chairman of the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission of Georgia. Maia Melikidze is actively engaged in pedagogical and professional activities in the direction of business administration, including the development of renewable energy sources.
Maia Melikidze is actively involved in scientific research activities. She is the author of up to 20 international and local scientific publications, speaker of many international and local conferences, participant of many scientific workshops, seminars, participant and researcher of various international and local scientific grant projects.
Maia Melikidze, within the doctoral program of business administration of BTU, guides doctoral students in the following research topics: “The role of the carbon trading mechanism in the process of attracting investments in the hydropower sector of Georgia”, “The importance of the development of renewable energy sources in the country’s energy security and economic development”.
Important activities of Maia Melikidze’s scientific and international activities for the purposes of BTU business administration doctoral program are:
- Academic coordination of the institutional membership of the University of Business and Technology in the MOC Affiliated Network of Harvard University;
- Director of the Renewable Energy Research Center of the European Marketing and Management Association (EUMMAS);
- Participant of the first international scientific conference of the European Marketing and Management Association (EUMMAS) in Dubai;
- Academic coordination of the Jean Monnet module “European Union for Energy Security and Sustainable Development Policy – EU-Energy-SSDP” project from the University of Business and Technology;
- Academic coordination of the Erasmus+ institutional development 3E-Partnership project from the University of Business and Technology.
