Lado Sirdadze
Lado Sirdadze is an affiliated Associate Professor of Law and Technology at Business and Technology University. He is a leading Georgian scholar in Legal Tech, specializing in legal automation, regulatory technology (RegTech), and AI-driven legal solutions. He also serves as an Associate Editor of the Oxford University Commonwealth Journal, Advisor at the Oxford University Fintech and LegalTech Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Georgian-German Journal of Comparative Law.
Lado Sirdadze holds a Magister Juris (MJur) from the University of Oxford, where he conducted research in legal technology, artificial intelligence, and regulation. His dissertation at Oxford focused on Application of LegalTech-Tools for Drafting and Implementation of Regulations. He was a DAAD Scholar at European University Viadrina, in Germany, and a Ludovika Scholar in Budapest, Hungary.
As a Legal Engineer in Berlin, Germany, he has developed legal tech products used in over 200,000 court cases and adopted by leading German law firms. He has also designed multiple LegalTech solutions for German and Georgian ministries. As a founder of the Legal Tech field in Georgia, he has implemented projects in collaboration with Business and Technology University and the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. He created the first university course in LegalTech in Georgia and authored the first Georgian publications in the field.
With over 30 journal articles and books published, Assoc. Prof. Sirdadze’s research spans comparative law, digital legislation, and legal automation. He has delivered lectures at leading institutions, including the University of Oxford, European University Viadrina, and the University of Zurich.
He has been recognized with the Forbes Georgia 30 Under 30 Award for his contributions to science in Georgia. His LegalTech-based teaching methods at Business and Technology University earned him the PROFFORMANCE International Higher Education Teacher Award.
