Khatuna Burkadze
Khatuna Burkadze is a Doctor of Laws, affiliated professor of the University of Business and Technology and co-head of the Doctoral Program “Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector” of the University of Business and Technology. Khatuna Burkadze is a consultant of the World Bank Group on issues of inclusive education, a member of the editorial board of the international magazine “Law and the World”, director of the foreign policy department of the analytical center “Geocase”. For years, Khatuna Burkadze has been actively working in the pedagogical and practical fields in the direction of public law. She is actively involved in scientific research activities. She is the winner of the scientific prize of the University of Business and Technology in the field of innovation and digital transformations, the author of more than 40 international and local scientific publications, a speaker at 20 international and local conferences, participant of many scientific workshops, seminars, participant of up to 10 international professional development events, author of many scientific projects, participant and researcher of various international and local scientific grant projects.
Professor Khatuna Burkadze has experience of working in legislative, executive and judicial authorities. She worked in the Parliament of Georgia, the government administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Supreme Court. Also, Professor Burkadze, in cooperation with representatives of the diplomatic corps, implemented projects aimed at raising awareness of the European Union among Georgian citizens.
Khatuna Burkadze is a graduate of Taft University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. As part of the Fulbright program, she led research on the international legal definition of cyberattacks and cyberwarfare at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s International Research Center. aAdditionally, he was visiting professor at Columbia University Law School, Bard College, and the Fletcher School. Professor Burkadze has successfully completed the Harvard University Negotiations and George Marshall European Security Research Center’s Advanced Security Studies Leadership Programs. Also, she is a graduate of the US State Department program in the field of American foreign policy.
Khatuna Burkadze’s scientific works have been published in “Fletcher Forum” and cited in “Harvard National Security” magazine. In 2017-2018, she was a member of the Harvard Society for Law and International Development, as well as a member of the organizing committee of the 2018 European Conference at Harvard.
Khatuna Burkadze was awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation for her special contribution to the development of science.
Khatuna Burkadze supervises 3 doctoral students in the doctoral program of BTU – “Digital governance and artificial intelligence in the public sector” within the framework of the following research topics:
“Introduction of digital technologies in the formation and implementation of foreign policy”;
“Prospects of using artificial intelligence in the process of implementing the country’s national curriculum”;
“Digital governance in higher education as a way of implementing public administration of the state”.
Important activities of Khatuna Burkadze’s scientific and international activities for the purposes of BTU’s business administration doctoral program are:
