The winners of BTU’s annual pre-acceleration have been announced
The Entrepreneurship Center of Business and Technology University has implemented an intensive pre-acceleration program for start-ups and startups in the early stages of development. A specially invited jury from the teams participating in the program identified the winning startups.
The prize fund for the winners was 15,000 GEL.
A 10,000 GEL award was given to a team of BTU students for Speak – an AI tool for speech and hearing impaired people that will break down the communication barrier by voicing sign language and displaying spoken words as text on the screen.
The second place was taken by the startup Virtual Story, whose digital and interactive books make the learning process more effective and attractive for young users through gamification elements. 5000 GEL was awarded to the second place team.
Startups participating in the program had the opportunity to get the basic knowledge and experience needed for startup development from leading Georgian and foreign experts in the field. Startups were mentored by founders of successful Georgian startups.
The project started in March 2024 and lasted for 3 months. The program covered topics such as market analysis, go-to-market/sales and marketing, pitch training, preparing for global growth, fundraising and more.
The pre-acceleration program is developed in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT. And the main partner and sponsor is “TBC” program “Startuper”. Another sponsor of the program is the company “Tether” (Tether Operations Limited).
