AI4GLOBE initiative – from Georgia to the world
Introducing an inclusive and comprehensive Ai literacy model that empowers individuals and communities worldwide to harness the transformative potential of artificial intelligence.
AI4Globe is aimed at increasing artificial intelligence literacy among various key demographics, including children and youth, women, academia, and business communities worldwide.
The project targets diverse groups to make AI knowledge and skills accessible to everyone—people of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals from underrepresented communities. By empowering stakeholders to leverage AI across various sectors, the project seeks to foster a globally AI-literate society.
4 TARGET GROUPS AND DOMAINS OF ENGAGEMENT:
1. Academia
- Conducting mapping and country-specific needs assessments.
- Developing AI literacy guides, including ethics, teaching, and research methods.
- Creating AI for Academics module for lecturers and teachers with input from international experts.
- Delivering core personnel and organizing Train-the-Trainer (ToT) sessions.
- Utilizing AI tools for curriculum development.
- Implementing an AI for Research module in collaboration with NCURA (U.S.).
- Establishing a community for knowledge sharing among academics.
- Targeting large corporations, SMEs, and startups, offering workshops and designing online resources on how they can achieve greater efficiency and cost savings with the help of AI.
- Designing AI Camps for business.
- Designing ToT (Train-the-Trainer) modules for business.
- Offering AI shadowing and consulting services.
- Building an AI business community.
3. Women
- Providing hybrid online and interactive training in AI for both employed and unemployed women.
- Appointing AI Ambassadors (one per region) to promote AI literacy.
- Creating a podcast series featuring women in tech and AI, sharing their experiences.
- Developing pre-recorded courses and community-building activities.
- Hosting an AI Camp for Business specifically for women, including skill development in fundraising and career development sessions.
4. Children and Youth
- Running awareness campaigns in public and private schools.
- Developing curriculums for children and parents covering topics like AI basics, AI and personal data security, ethics, and cyber hygiene.
- Organizing camps and providing educational materials such as videos, animations, comics, and brochures.
- Holding annual ideathons for children.
- Training trainers and communicating with schools for effective implementation.

UNICEF, UN Women, UNICRI, KTH Sweden; University of Granada, Spain; TalTech, Estonia; Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal; University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, Germany; Beetroot Academy, Sweden-Ukraine; Tekwill; and the European Business Association.
UNDERSTAND – Monitoring and benchmarking available resources, state-of-the-art research on AI, classroom-ready material etc. (including already funded large scale projects and various alliances) to have a clear understanding on current processes in similar initiatives, analyze challenges and assess needs. to create and maintain a single source for initiatives and resources, to catalog existing opportunities.
TRANSFORM – Create a unique AI literacy model, transforming the education landscape via context specific methodology and innovation in AI literacy (all literacy efforts will be multilingual and tailored for different communities). The unique features of the model are (but not limited): community involvement, interactive platforms development, hands-on learning experiences, AI-based learning management systems, mentorship programs, resource accessibility, focus on diversity, inclusiveness and AI ethics.
GROW – Execute tailor-made education programs and practices: executing curriculum, delivering workshops and training, implementing knowledge exchange activities, such as hackathons, virtual briefing sessions. Sharing the present AI Literacy model to institutions and groups worldwide.
PROJECT’S FINAL STAGE THE GROW UNFOLDS AS FOLLOWS:
- Global reach: sharing the AI literacy model with stakeholders worldwide.
- Resource Sharing: Providing access to a comprehensive curriculum, multimedia content and education program(s) tailored to different communities and needs. Ensuring widespread access to resources and knowledge.
- Opportunity sharing: providing access to AI4Globe catalog of opportunities.
- Workshops and practical activities: Delivering hands-on workshops and training sessions to enhance practical understanding of AI. Conducting knowledge exchange activities, such as hackathons, virtual briefing sessions, and collaborative projects.
By following the GROW framework, the AI4Globe initiative will effectively execute and promote its AI literacy programs on a global scale, ensuring that AI knowledge and skills are accessible to all. The project will enhance previous efforts and knowledge and drive progress in the field. It will actively promote Inclusivity and Accessibility to foster AI-Literate society (with particular focus on responsible AI resources) Providing access to infrastructure and expert knowledge.
Expected Impact:
Impact 1 – AI4Globe Catalog of Opportunities, collected and analyzed high quality data/resources on AI literacy, pool of knowledge and information on global AI ecosystem.
Impact 2 – Transformation of AI education and training: context-specific, tailored approach available for different segments, diverse communities, infrastructure and people of various backgrounds. Transformative and responsible AI literacy model in place.
Impact 3 – Reinforced AI community and increased awareness across the world. Promotes AI literacy tools and platforms.
Implementation:
The initiative will be based on an inclusive and interdisciplinary approach. By inviting global stakeholders to contribute, the project will build a robust global network of AI-literate individuals and communities.
