
BTU Presented Research on Girls’ Education at the UN General Assembly
At the 80th Thematic Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) – “Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights” – the Rector of Business and Technology University (BTU), Nino Enukidze, presented a research report prepared by BTU in collaboration with the world’s largest technology platform, iamtheCODE, titled “Building a Social Currency: A New Approach to Girls’ Education in Crisis Settings.”
The research places special emphasis on the importance of girls’ education, expanding access to learning, strengthening social capital, and creating safer and more inclusive educational spaces for girls in crisis contexts.
The 80th Session of the General Assembly (UNGA 80) aims to strengthen global cooperation and solidarity, accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and bring to the forefront the shared interests of people and the planet in the international agenda.
Within the framework of this session, through UN platforms — SDG Media Zone and Goals Lounge — representatives of various universities and organizations from around the world share initiatives and practical solutions with the public. BTU’s involvement in the UN General Assembly highlights the university’s role in the global network of knowledge and innovation.
