Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at BTU
Launched in 2024, the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence has rapidly grown into one of BTU’s flagship international study programs, with more than 400 students currently enrolled. The program was established as a joint initiative of BTU and the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ) and is supported by funding from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
The program combines a solid foundation in computer science with advanced studies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and digital innovation. Its unique German Track integrates progressive language learning into the curriculum, enabling students to reach B2 proficiency by the fourth semester. This structure not only enhances academic and career opportunities in Georgia but also qualifies students for study exchanges and academic stays at WHZ in Germany.
By fostering academic excellence, international cooperation, and strong language skills, the program prepares a new generation of computer scientists and AI specialists for careers in cutting-edge technology fields and for meaningful participation in international academic networks.
