
UNESCO has included BTU’s AI4Globe project in the list of influential initiatives of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development.
Significant International Recognition for the Business and Technology University – UNESCO has recognized the large-scale international initiative AI4Globe, dedicated to artificial intelligence literacy, and included it in the list of influential projects and initiatives under the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD, 2024–2033).
AI4Globe is an international educational project initiated by the Business and Technology University, aimed at raising the level of artificial intelligence literacy globally. The initiative targets various demographic groups, including children, youth, women, academia, and small/medium-sized businesses. It creates multimedia educational resources, projects, and opportunities for deepening international partnerships in both Georgian and English.
From Georgia to the world, the AI4Globe project is already being implemented in several countries, including in the Middle East and North Africa.
The International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD) is a global initiative by UNESCO running from 2024 to 2033, which works toward the following goals:

Strengthening the role of science in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);

Enhancing connections between science, policy, and society;

Promoting inclusive and equitable scientific solutions to address global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and environmental degradation.
UNESCO highlighted that AI4Globe fully aligns with the values and objectives of the Decade.
