student grant calls
To encourage research activities among students at the Business and Technology University (BTU), foster the development of research skills, and enhance the presentation of research outcomes and writing proficiency, the Research Center has launched two grant calls for students in 2024:
- Student Research Project Grant Call;
- Student Award: Infographics and Essays Competition on Science and Technology.
Student Research Project Grant Call
The purpose of this grant call is to promote research activities and support the development of research skills among BTU students.
The call is open to BTU students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral programs.
Funding for approved projects is provided as follows:
Applicant’s Program Level | Grant Amount |
Bachelor’s Program | 1,000 GEL |
Master’s Program | 1,500 GEL |
Doctoral Program | 2,000 GEL |
Registered projects that meet the grant call requirements are evaluated by a committee according to predefined criteria outlined in the call guideline.

Tinatin-Mariam Komakhidze (Bachelor’s Program)
Prediction of neurotoxicity caused by blood-brain barrier dysfunction due to ionic channel impairments in individuals with epilepsy using AI.
Lika Kiborzalidze (Bachelor’s Program)
The impact of technology on enforcing regulatory norms in competition between small and large businesses.
Nino Ugrekhelidze (Doctoral Program)
Exploring opportunities for implementing artificial intelligence in Georgia’s school education system.
Student Award:
Infographics and Essays Competition on Science and Technology
This competition aims to encourage research activities, develop presentation and writing skills, and promote innovative and creative ideas among BTU students.
The competition is open to BTU students enrolled in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
BTU will grant awards in the following categories:
- Best visual material (infographic) presenting research outcomes.
- Best essay on the topic of science and innovation.
The winner in each category will receive an award of 300 GEL.
Applications submitted for the award will be evaluated by the committee based on predefined criteria outlined in the competition guideline.
