Artificial intelligence hackathon for students

Artificial intelligence and education — this is the theme of the hackathon initiated by Business and Technology University, in which any student with an active status throughout Georgia can participate.

Hackathon will be held within AI MARATHON. The marathon will combine various competitions, championships and events around artificial intelligence, and thousands of students from all over the country will participate in it.

The prize fund of the marathon will be constantly growing — within its framework, the winning participants will receive investments from existing partner technology companies. In total, within the framework of the hackathon, the prize fund is 20,000 GEL, which will be distributed among 3 winners.

Students can participate in the AI Hackathon as a team. The number of students in the team is determined from 2 to 4 participants.

The winning teams will use the investment money to develop a prototype of the idea. And in May 2024, with the support of  Business and Technology University, the final product will be presented at the annual event of the Global Startup Fund and will meet angel investors from America, Israel and Europe. University support includes full mentorship.

Registration for the hackathon has already started and will continue until January 18. After registration, the teams will go through two stages. At the first stage, the participants will receive and work on a technical task that will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their technological knowledge and skills. And the teams that passed to the second stage will receive the final task and will work together with the mentors for 7 days to create the final product. The final result will be presented to the jury, which will select the winners.

The hackathon is organized with the support of the MIT – Martin Trust Center, and a master class will be held as part of it: The Impact of Generative AI on Business and the Future of Innovation.
