Dr. Khatuna Burkadze was awarded for her special contribution to science
On the event dedicated to the International Day of Women in Science, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation awarded Dr. Khatuna Burkadze for her special contribution to science.
Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze is a Chair of the Doctoral Program – “Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Public Sector” at Business and Technology University. She is a graduate of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze has been a Fulbright scholar at the MIT Center for International Studies as well as a visiting professor at Columbia University, Bard College, and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze has completed programs on negotiations and security studies at Harvard University and George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. She is an alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s Program on American Foreign Policy. From 2017 to 2018, she was a member of the Harvard International Law Society. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze was also a member of the organizing committee of the 2018 European Conference at Harvard.
Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze is exploring international law governing cyberattacks, cyber warfare, international trends of digital transformation and strategic, legal, and ethical frameworks of artificial intelligence (AI). She is a co-author of guidelines for Georgia’s AI strategy. Her articles are published in English and Georgian, and quoted in Harvard National Security Journal. Professor Burkadze’s articles on the new interpretations of an armed attack in the digital era, digital foreign policy, and digital and cyber diplomacy have been published by “The Fletcher Forum of World Affairs”.
Since 2009 Prof. Dr. Khatuna Burkadze has been delivering lectures on public international law, American foreign policy, digital transformation, new security challenges, cyber law, hybrid threats, and legal aspects of artificial intelligence.
