BTU’s new campus and innovative programs are being added
Business and Technology University is commencing construction of a new campus. This expansion will include multifunctional spaces, new laboratories, auditoriums equipped with modern technology, underground parking, and other multimedia rooms. The campus will be situated on Chavchavadze Avenue in the center of Tbilisi, enhancing the university’s infrastructure. Starting from 2025, new innovative programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, along with unprecedented initiatives in artificial intelligence and other technologies, will be introduced. Partnerships with world-leading high-ranking universities, opportunities for obtaining dual degrees, international cooperation, and large-scale research projects will all be part of the offerings at the new BTU campus.
Founded in 2016, Business and Technology University currently offers nine accredited programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Seven of these programs provide the opportunity to earn a second European university diploma. To date, over 8,000 individuals have become university students, and the academic staff comprises up to 400 lecturers. BTU collaborates with over 300 local and international organizations and has partnerships with more than 80 top-ranked Western universities. Additionally, the University of Business and Technology is a member of 12 international organizations, including the world-renowned MIT’s Martin Trust Center, Harvard MOC Affiliated Network, and EUA.
The university currently houses six innovative and high-tech labs, including AI LAB, IOS & ANDROID LAB, CYBERLAB, BLOCKCHAIN LAB, MICROSOFT LAB, and others. Furthermore, the university is introducing an unprecedented undergraduate program in artificial intelligence, presently undergoing accreditation. Upon program completion, students will have the opportunity to receive fully funded diplomas from both BTU and the German Zwickau University of Applied Sciences. Moreover, students will be eligible to obtain international certificates from Microsoft in specific artificial intelligence components. German university professors will be actively engaged in the four-year teaching process.
It’s noteworthy that Business and Technology University is pioneering the integration of AI solutions into educational and administrative processes in Georgia. The innovative BTU AI platform integrates educational, research, and multimedia materials, AI books, lectures, podcasts, articles, and other resources, which are systematically updated. The initiative has also led to the establishment of GeorgiAI, a nationwide digital fund utilized for enhancing business processes and other purposes.
The official inauguration of the new Business and Technology University campus is scheduled for 2025.
