The winners of the BTU AI hackathon were announced and awarded
The winners of the artificial intelligence hackathon were announced and awarded at Business and Technology University.
In the large-scale hackathon organized by BTU, 116 teams composed of students from 22 universities of Georgia participated, totaling more than 350 students.
Eighteen teams and 65 students advanced to the second round.
Within the framework of the hackathon, students created artificial intelligence solutions, which were then connected to the educational sector. They presented ideas and solutions to the jury and technology companies.
The prize fund of the hackathon was 20,000 GEL, which was distributed among 3 winners.
The winning team was TeachAid – a platform for teachers and lecturers that allows them to effortlessly generate learning materials such as lesson/lecture plans, presentations, quizzes, and other outstanding materials.
The second and third places were secured by Edubot and 3Threads.
Edubot – within the framework of the hackathon, the team members created an AI robot that helps people interested in STEAM living in the region to study this field.
3Threads – an AI platform that will help applicants remotely write tests similar to the Unified National Examinations, correct their papers, get adequate grades, and see ways to remediate.
In addition to the three winning teams, two additional selected teams were named as part of the hackathon and will be included in the BTU student pre-acceleration program.
