
More than 3,000 participants and 340 finalists – the OLYINFO Olympiad identified over 40 winners.
Within the framework of the Georgia Tech Olympiads Hub, the nationwide school Olympiad in informatics OLYINFO was held for the first time this year, attracting significant interest across the country and bringing together thousands of students from different regions into a unified digital environment.
The final round of the Olympiad took place on March 8 at the Business and Technology University (BTU). Out of nearly 3,000 registered participants, 340 students advanced to the final stage and competed for the top prizes.
In the final round, participants were divided into four age categories:
- Grades 3–4 – 80 participants
- Grades 5–6 – 80 participants
- Grades 7–8 – 87 participants
- Grades 9–12 – 93 participants
OLYINFO reached almost every region of Georgia. 58% of the finalists were from Tbilisi, while 42% represented various regions, demonstrating strong nationwide participation.
Among the participants, 72% came from public schools and 28% from private schools, indicating that the Olympiad is accessible to students from diverse educational institutions across the country. Approximately 60% of the finalists were boys, while 40% were girls.
Following the final round, more than 40 winners were selected from the 340 finalists. In each age category, the first, second, and third place winners were awarded diplomas, special prizes, and awards established specifically for OLYINFO by partner companies supporting the Tech Olympiads Hub.

With the support of the Hub’s general partner, TBC Bank, every finalist received a special gift for reaching the final round. Additionally, OLYINFO winners were awarded special prizes by supporting companies including PC Shop, Biblusi, TENE, EPAM, and GAIA. These prizes included innovative technology products, opportunities to participate in educational courses, access to licensed AI software, and other benefits.
OLYINFO has been held across Georgia since 2017, with the number of participants growing each year. The Olympiad provides students with the opportunity to test their analytical, logical, and algorithmic thinking skills, regardless of their geographic location.
One of the key priorities of OLYINFO is the identification of talented students and their preparation for future international competitions. Participation in the Olympiad enables school students from across Georgia to showcase their knowledge and potential in informatics within a unified digital platform.
The OLYINFO Olympiad was organized within the framework of the Georgia Tech Olympiads Hub, hosted at the Business and Technology University, with TBC Bank as the general supporter. The Hub’s partners include UN Women, the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association, EPAM, the ICT Association of Georgia, Lineate, and the development company Blox.
This partnership aims to strengthen an inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable technological ecosystem in Georgia. The mission of the Georgia Tech Olympiads Hub is to identify, develop, and provide long-term support for the next generation of technology leaders.
