Within the BTU project – Women in AI, an information campaign is starting
Within the framework of the Women in AI project, the University of Business and Technology in the field of technology is starting awareness-raising meetings. In the month of February, meetings are planned for 9th-12th-grade students of private and public schools in Tbilisi and Georgia regions.
The purpose of the meetings is to introduce the new, large-scale BTU project to the target audience, raise awareness about artificial intelligence in general, and provide information on the importance of women’s involvement in technology. Meetings will be held in the following cities: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Telavi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Batumi.

- February 7, Public School #55, Tbilisi
- February 7, #22 Public School, Rustavi
- February 9, #1 Public School, Kutaisi
- February 9, #3 Public School, Zugdidi
- February 10, Batumi Technopark, Batumi
- February 13, #5 Public School, Gori
- February 13, #1 Public School, Akhaltsikhe
- February 16, Yakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Telavi
- Meetings are open, and registration of attendees is available at the following locations: Tbilisi – BTU, Telavi, and Batumi.
It is possible to attend the meetings in the target schools only for the girls of the said school.
Those wishing to attend the meeting can fill out the registration form.
Within the framework of Women in AI, 200 women from all over Georgia will be selected, and all of them will be trained in artificial intelligence and web development for 9 months. Registration of beneficiaries of the first stream has been completed, where more than 1,100 registrations were recorded.
The University of Business and Technology has been striving to increase the involvement of women in technology through various activities since its inception. It should be noted that BTU has already implemented a large-scale, successful project “500 women in technology” with the support of the United Nations Women’s Organization and the Norwegian government.
Women in AI is part of the women’s economic empowerment component of the UN Women’s project “Good governance for gender equality in Georgia”, which is implemented by BTU with the support of the Norwegian government.
