The Project “Digital Citizen” Goes to the New Phase.
The event will be attended by project organizers: Majoritarian of Kaspi Municipality Irakli Mezurnishvili, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, as well as invited guests: Parliamentarians Kakhaber Kuchava, Nino Tsilosani, Tsotne Zrabiani and Giorgi Begadze, the head of relations to governmental entities in central and eastern Europe of Business and Technology University’s partner company HP, Marcus Shverteli, representatives of Microsoft, Softline, MUK.
The new stage of the project aims to provide digital training of residents in the regions throughout Georgia and subsequently engage them in global employment platforms. At this stage, regional locations where the digital training will be implemented is known: Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni, Borjomi, Lanchkhuti, Chkhorotsku, Telavi, Kvareli, Sighnaghi, Terjola, Chiatura, Samtredia, Khoni, Gori and Kaspi. Also, all tech-parks across Georgia.
The aim of the Business and Technology University is to support the establishment of a new trend of the world employment market in Georgia and training of as many as possible job seekers, as possible to involve them in global remote work.
Within the framework of the project, training of beneficiaries will be held through webinars and seminars and will begin on September 18, 2017. The registration of applicants will last from August 1 to September 1, 2017. Training will be carried out by the Business and Technology University in the following modules:
- Computer programming
- Social Media Video Marketing
- Creating and designing mobile applications
- Creating web pages
It is planned to expand in Georgia in the future and increase the number of training centers in the regions up to 100 locations.
