AI Literacy School
AI Literacy School is a joint educational initiative of Silicon Valley Tbilisi and Business and Technology University (BTU), designed to equip school students with fundamental knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, including its core principles, applications, and ethical considerations.
The primary objective of the initiative was to provide students with a foundational understanding of innovative AI technologies – how they work, their role in society, and their broader impact. By increasing awareness and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, the programme aims to better prepare young people for the opportunities and challenges of the future, enabling them to navigate the rapidly evolving technological landscape, use AI safely and responsibly, and make informed decisions. The project also encourages participants to discover, develop, and realize their potential in response to ongoing technological transformation.
The initiative included a six-day intensive AI Literacy School, launched on 27 January, featuring interactive lectures, practical activities, and expert-led sessions.
Target audience: Students aged 13 -18 from public and private schools across Tbilisi.
The programme was structured around thematic learning days, with each session dedicated to a specific topic, allowing participants to progressively build their understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications.
AI Literacy Bootcamp 2.0
AI Literacy Bootcamp 2.0 was a five-day intensive educational programme designed to equip young participants with a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications. The bootcamp combined expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning to introduce participants to key AI concepts while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
Throughout the programme, participants explored how Artificial Intelligence is transforming everyday life, gained practical experience with beginner-friendly AI tools, and learned the fundamentals of machine learning, data science, and cybersecurity. Particular emphasis was placed on the ethical and responsible use of AI, encouraging participants to reflect on issues such as algorithmic bias, privacy, misinformation, and the societal impact of emerging technologies. Practical exercises, simulations, and team-based challenges enabled participants to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios while strengthening their problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
The final stage of the bootcamp focused on developing and presenting AI-based projects, allowing participants to demonstrate the knowledge and competencies acquired throughout the programme. The bootcamp concluded with a project showcase and graduation ceremony, celebrating participants’ achievements and inspiring them to continue exploring opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and digital innovation.
AI Camp for Students – XR and Emerging Technologies
Business and Technology University launched a new educational programme titled “AI Camp for Students – XR and Emerging Technologies,” which took place from 27-31 October 2025 at Rooms Hotel Kazbegi and BTU’s Tbilisi campus.
Building on the success of BTU’s AI literacy camps launched in 2025, this fully funded initiative was organized in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Germany) and supported by UN Women and the AI Association of Georgia (GAIA).
The programme was designed for 30 undergraduate students from across Georgia who already had a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence. It offered in-depth learning on advanced AI principles, computer vision, AI applications, ethical challenges and research methodologies. Through hands-on workshops, XR laboratory experiences and interactive sessions, participants developed practical skills while strengthening their innovation capacity, critical thinking, and understanding of emerging technologies.
The camp enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence and immersive technologies work, explore their impact on society and learn how to apply them ethically and effectively in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Green Rising Camp and Hackathon 2026
From 20-24 July 2026, “Green Rising Camp & Hackathon 2026” was held in Bakuriani, Georgia, organized by the Business and Technology University within the framework of the UNICEF project “Empowering Youth for Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction through Education and Technology-Based Solutions.”
The five-day camp hosted 30 selected young participants from different cities and municipalities of Georgia – Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Telavi and Batumi. Participants gained both theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of climate change, disaster risk reduction (DRR), innovation, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and modern technologies.
The camp programme included interactive lectures, practical working sessions, collaboration with mentors and the use of virtual reality (VR) technologies. Building on the knowledge and skills acquired during the camp, participants worked in teams and developed AI-based innovative projects addressing real climate and environmental challenges as part of the hackathon.
Green Camp & Hackathon 2026 became an important platform for young people to deepen their knowledge, gain practical experience and create innovative ideas for sustainable development through the use of AI technology.
Technology Camp for School Girls
With the support of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, Business and Technology University organized a technology camp for female students from grades 10-12 in Bakuriani on December 11-17, 2022.
The selected 50 participants had the opportunity to learn about international trends in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), participate in trainings and workshops covering programming, artificial intelligence, cyber ethics and other technology-related fields and make informed career choices based on the knowledge and experience gained during the camp.
International AI Camp
At the initiative and with the full funding of the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), an International AI Camp will be held from 17–22 August 2026, bringing together Georgian and international mentors and lecturers.
