Zviad Gabisonia
Zviad Gabisonia holds a Doctorate in Law, is a Professor at the Business and Technology University (BTU), and the Head of the Doctoral Program “Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector.” He is also a USAID expert in Artificial Intelligence Law and Policy, an expert in Digital Governance and Legal Technologies for the Public Administration Bureau and the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Georgia, and a member of the Georgian Academy of Education Sciences and the Georgian Academy of Criminology.
Dr. Gabisonia has many years of experience in both private and public law. He teaches Technology Law, Internet and Banking Law, as well as Digital Governance and International Trade Law. He is the author of six books and more than forty scientific publications, and has participated in more than one hundred international and local conferences, as well as in dozens of research projects and professional development programs.
Under his leadership, several important grants and projects have been implemented, including: the integration of digital governance into higher education within the framework of the USAID National Governance Program; the Friedrich Ebert Foundation project “Digital Governance and Legal Technologies”; the USAID “Justice Innovation Lab” for the creation of an innovative legal laboratory; and the US Embassy Alumni Grant Program “GenZ Smart Academy.”
Zviad Gabisonia is the Founder and Board Member of the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA).
