Giorgi Zhorzholiani
Giorgi Zhorzholiani holds a Doctorate in Law and is an Associate Professor at the Business and Technology University. He has been a member of the Georgian Bar Association since 2018. Giorgi is actively engaged in both teaching and research activities, combining academic expertise with extensive practical experience as a lawyer and attorney.
He is the author of more than ten academic publications and one monograph. His research interests include private and business law, particularly international private law, intellectual property law, internet law, and technology law. He is among the first scholars in Georgia to pioneer the study and teaching of digital and internet law.
In 2022, he was awarded a DAAD scholarship and became a visiting researcher at the European University Viadrina (Germany). He has completed and conducted numerous professional trainings, both locally and internationally, related to the practical, legislative, and technological aspects of law. He regularly participates in local and international academic conferences.
Alongside his academic activities, Giorgi is actively involved in the development and promotion of legal disciplines. As an editor of the Georgian-German Journal of Comparative Law, he contributes to the advancement of Georgian and international legal discourse.
By integrating scientific and practical experience, Giorgi Zhorzholiani applies an innovative, research-oriented teaching model that combines theoretical knowledge with modern legal practice, particularly in the fields of business law, intellectual property law, and technology law.
