Lesson 1 (2 hrs)
Setting up the C++ environment. Alphabet and keywords, identifiers (names) and numbers, structural composition of a program. 2 simple programs.
Lesson 2 (2 hrs)
Examples of simple programs, code formatting styles, using essential libraries, input/output operators (cin, cout), comments in code.
Lesson 3 (2 hrs)
Declaring variables of standard data types, defining constants, Boolean type, numeric and symbolic nature of the char type, character string (string). 2 practical tasks.
Lesson 4 (2 hrs)
Assignment operator, arithmetic expressions. Comparison operators, operations on Boolean values. 2 practical tasks.
Lesson 5 (2 hrs)
Conditional statements (IF, IF…ELSE, and SWITCH instructions). 2 practical tasks.
Lesson 6 (2 hrs)
Loop statements (WHILE, DO…WHILE, and FOR instructions). 3 practical tasks.
Lesson 7 (2 hrs)
Nested loops. break and return operators. 2 practical tasks.
Lesson 8 (2 hrs)
Structured data types – arrays, one-dimensional arrays, two-dimensional arrays. 2 practical tasks.
Lesson 9 (2 hrs)
Functions, local and global variables, common standard functions. 2 practical tasks.
