DIGITECH – a new innovative EU-funded project has launched at BTU.
With funding from the European Union and with the participation of Business and Technology University (BTU), the large-scale Erasmus+ Capacity Building project DIGITECH – Introduction of Innovative Technologies in Digitalization of Technological Processes and Production has been launched. The project is implemented in partnership with Hamburg University of Technology (Germany) and the University of Maribor (Slovenia). The project duration is three years.
The project aims to improve the quality of education and graduate employability in Georgia, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan by developing up-to-date skills in the digitalization of technological processes and production, modernizing teaching methodologies, and strengthening cooperation between academia and industry. The project also предусматривает the establishment of an innovative Digital Twins laboratory at BTU.
Within the framework of the program, Business and Technology University is conducting a large-scale study to assess students’ knowledge and technical skills, with the participation of students, academic staff involved in the teaching process, and employers. Ultimately, the research findings will be reflected in BTU’s academic programs. This, in turn, will help reduce the mismatch between learning outcomes and labor market needs by integrating innovative technologies into existing curricula, such as Big Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
