BTU Launches Integrated Digital Platform for International Mobility Management – btumobility.ge

Business and Technology University (BTU) has launched btumobility.ge, a new digital platform for managing international mobility processes. The platform brings together international mobility opportunities for students and faculty, as well as all related procedures, in one integrated digital space.

The launch of the platform marks another important step in BTU’s internationalization and digital transformation. Through btumobility.ge, the entire international mobility cycle — from the announcement of opportunities and submission of applications to evaluation, selection, and final decision-making — is managed within a single digital ecosystem.

Developed by BTU’s technical team, btumobility.ge is fully integrated with the University’s existing digital infrastructure. The system is directly connected to BTU’s academic information system, BTU Classroom, and automatically retrieves verified academic data, including a student’s grade average, GPA, level of study, and foreign language proficiency. This reduces errors associated with manual data entry and enables the system to automatically assess whether a candidate meets the eligibility criteria of a particular mobility program.

The platform is built on modern web technologies, is fully bilingual in Georgian and English, responsive across all devices, and equipped with accessibility features. Uploaded documents are stored in a secure and confidential environment.

The system simplifies not only the applicant experience but also the administration of mobility programs. It brings together application submission and management, eligibility checks, candidate evaluation and scoring, interviews, final decision-making, and automated communication with applicants. As a result, the process becomes faster, more consistent, and more transparent for both applicants and the teams responsible for administering international mobility.

One of the key advantages of btumobility.ge is that it supports mobility management in both directions. BTU’s international partner universities can use the platform to nominate students and staff, after which nominated candidates can complete and submit the relevant application to undertake short- or long-term mobility at BTU.

With the launch of btumobility.ge, BTU is introducing an integrated digital model for international mobility management, bringing together international opportunities, mobility processes, and cooperation with partner institutions within a single system. The platform also creates a strong foundation for the continued expansion and development of international mobility at the University.
