BTU Launches AI-Powered Career Advisor
Business and Technology University has introduced a new digital career service for students and alumni, the BTU AI Career Advisor. The AI-powered advisor helps users better understand their professional interests, assess their existing skills, plan career steps, and prepare more effectively for employment.
The service can be used at different stages of career development, from choosing a professional direction to applying for a specific vacancy and preparing for an interview. Users can receive recommendations tailored to their experience and goals, improve their CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile, compare their competencies with the requirements of a specific position, and identify areas where further development is needed.
The career advisor also helps students understand how their academic experience can connect to different professional pathways, which skills are important for specific roles, and what practical steps they can take to achieve their career goals. The tool can also be used for interview preparation, including guidance on potential questions, structuring responses, and improving professional communication.
The service’s knowledge base combines BTU’s career development resources with reliable international and local sources covering labor market trends, professions, skills, and employer requirements. This approach allows users to receive not only general advice but also more structured information tailored to their professional context.
The tool is based on a Human-Centered AI approach. Artificial intelligence is used to analyze information and present possible pathways, but it does not make decisions on behalf of the user or replace professional career counseling. Important career decisions remain with the student or alumnus, while additional support from a Career Development Center representative is also available when needed.
The new service enables students and alumni to receive career-related support more quickly, in a format tailored to their needs, and at the stage when they need it most, whether they are defining a career direction, improving their professional profile, planning new skills, or preparing for a job opportunity.
