A state-of-the-art media lab and podcast studio equipped with the latest technologies has opened at Business and Technology University. The new high-tech space was established at BTU in partnership with the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ), with support from DAAD and the German government.
The media laboratory combines modern media technologies, educational resources, and multimedia materials developed by German specialists. The space is designed to support students in gaining practical experience in digital media, modern communications, podcasting, and multimedia content creation.
The first series of podcasts and interviews recorded in the lab took place within the framework of the international conference “Girls in Tech Pathways – From Learning to Leadership.” The conference was organized at Business and Technology University in partnership with UN Women, TBC Bank, and Tegeta Holding, with support from the Danish government, and was dedicated to Girls in ICT Month.
The event focused on women’s empowerment in technology, gender equality, digital literacy, and inclusive artificial intelligence. In this context, the media laboratory became a space where international dialogue, innovative learning, and students’ practical engagement come together.
The new laboratory adds another important opportunity to BTU’s educational ecosystem, enabling students to develop professional skills, create multimedia content, and actively participate in digital communications projects using a modern technological environment.
Through various initiatives and international projects, Business and Technology University also hosts a range of high-tech and innovative labs, including the XR & AI Lab, Laboratory 4.0, iOS & Android Lab, Renewable Energy Lab, Blockchain Lab, Cybersecurity Lab, Sustainability Lab, Microsoft Lab, MarTech Lab, the Child Rights Center, and the Coding School for Women.
These spaces, created with modern infrastructure and the support of international partners, provide students and researchers with opportunities to gain practical experience and implement innovative projects.
