With the involvement of BTU the Communications Commission launched Media Literacy Week
Organized by the Communications Commission, Media Literacy Week is held in Georgia on October 25-29. Public as well as international and non-governmental organizations and the private sector take part in the week.
BTU offers a series of activities to different target groups: training in digital media literacy and cyber hygiene, conducted by the country’s leading experts. Training of school-age children, students, parents, teachers and 60+ age groups in various components of digital literacy starts within a week and lasts for several months. To date, BTU has trained more than 500 beneficiaries in these areas in different regions of Georgia. With the support of the Communication Commission, the subject of digital “media literacy” was added to the master’s degree. Numerous information meetings and workshops were held. Anyone can participate in the events planned during the week.
