AI Skills Passport – A New Product for BTU Students
Business and Technology University has introduced a new product, the AI Skills Digital Passport, which enables students to bring together the artificial intelligence skills they develop throughout their studies in one personalized, continuously updated, and blockchain-verifiable passport.
The AI Skills Digital Passport will reflect both knowledge gained through academic studies and AI competencies developed through participation in workshops, masterclasses, bootcamps, hackathons, intensive programs, and other practical activities.
Based on their interests and professional goals, students will be able to develop skills in the following areas:
- Generative AI – creating and processing text, visual materials, and other types of content using AI tools;
- Prompt Engineering – formulating precise and effective instructions for AI systems to achieve the desired results;
- AI Workflow Automation – planning and automating repetitive tasks and workflows using artificial intelligence;
- AI Agents – principles of creating and using AI agents to perform specific tasks;
- Data Analysis with AI – processing and analyzing data and interpreting results with the help of AI tools;
- Responsible AI – principles of the ethical, safe, and responsible use of artificial intelligence;
- AI in Business, Research, and Professional Practice – applying artificial intelligence to solve practical challenges across different fields.
Each competency will be reflected in the passport according to the format and depth of its development:
- AI Skill – an AI competency developed and validated through a short learning experience;
- AI Applied Skill – a competency developed through practical and intensive learning and validated through a project, practical assignment, or another tangible outcome;
- AI Advanced Skill – an AI competency developed and assessed within a semester-long academic course.
Students will receive their digital passport as soon as they earn their first recognized AI skill. From that point onward, their profile will be updated progressively throughout their studies and expanded with new competencies. As a result, even students enrolled in the same academic program will have different digital profiles based on their individual choices, interests, and developed skills.
To support the development of students’ AI competencies, BTU will periodically organize hackathons and other practical activities involving students. Participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world tasks and projects and reflect the outcomes of these practical experiences in their digital passports.
The AI Skills Digital Passport is not a one-time certificate. After graduation, BTU alumni will also be able to continue developing new AI skills and competencies, validate them, and add them to their digital profiles.
The competencies included in the passport will be digitally verifiable, including through the use of a blockchain-based verification mechanism. This will allow employers and other interested parties to verify specific competencies and see the type of academic or practical experience through which a student developed a particular skill.
Students and alumni will also be able to integrate their verified AI skills into their LinkedIn profiles and showcase them across their professional networks.
Through the AI Skills Digital Passport, BTU students will build a distinctive and verifiable AI skills profile alongside their academic education, one that will continue to evolve and update as they develop professionally.
