Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Hackathon with a GEL 15,000 Investment Fund
An Artificial Intelligence Hackathon initiated by Business and Technology University will be held with a GEL 15,000 investment fund. Students with active status at any university across Georgia are eligible to participate.
Hackathon theme: Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
The rapid development of artificial intelligence and its expanding capabilities have clearly demonstrated the importance of integrating AI across various sectors, including cybersecurity. On the one hand, artificial intelligence may pose certain risks; on the other, it can be used to prevent threats and strengthen cybersecurity systems.
The hackathon aims to develop innovative solutions to this challenge. Participating student teams will be expected to create artificial intelligence models and integrate them into the field of cybersecurity to reduce cyber risks and improve cybersecurity services.
Throughout the event, students will also be supported by mentors, who will provide guidance and consultations during the project development process.
Registration for the hackathon is now open and will continue until June 10.
Following the registration period, teams will go through two stages. First, each team will submit a one-page document describing its proposed project in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
After the project proposals have been submitted, teams will participate in individual interviews with mentors. Based on these interviews, the teams advancing to the second round will be selected.
The shortlisted teams will present their projects to the jury and the audience during Demo Day on June 25.
The GEL 15,000 investment fund will be distributed among three winning teams:
1st place — GEL 7,000
2nd place — GEL 5,000
3rd place — GEL 3,000
The winning teams will use the investment funding to develop prototypes of their ideas.
As part of BTU’s membership in the MIT Martin Trust Center, a webinar related to the hackathon will also be held for participants.
