BTU’s Participation in the First EaP Women in Tech Meeting
Representatives of Business and Technology University (BTU) participated in the first EaP Women in Tech Meeting that took place in Chișinău, Moldova as part of the project “E-Governance and Digitalization in the Eastern Partnership Countries” supported by GIZ Eastern Partnership Fund.
The event aimed and gathering various stakeholders from the EaP countries to facilitate knowledge exchange and learning among them, encourage their cooperation and dialogue and showcase Moldova’s successful practices in Women in Tech direction.
During the working visit, representatives of Azebaijani, Armenian, Georgian and Moldovan institutions (both state sector representatives and non-state actors) had discussion sessions at iHUB Chisinau, Tekwill in Chișinău, Tekwill Bălți and enjoyed the opportunity of exchanging practices of women engagement in Tech in EaP countries: highlighted projects, engagement initiatives and potential avenues of cooperation. BTU team members presented Tech initiatives that are particularly designed and run for women in Georgia. They elaborated on best practices, lessons learned and invited EaP countries representatives to collaborative projects.
The program also included inspiring sessions facilitated by the Moldovan Association of ICT Companies (ATIC), participants had a privilege to attend the ‘Meetup with Dorin Recean- the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova,” as well as the gala event dedicated to 7 Years of Tekwill.
The project ‘’E-Governance and Digitalization in the Eastern Partnership Countries” aims at further empowering and networking the relevant actors and authorities involved in e-Governance and digitization of public services.
